Inside Thunderball Grott, Exuma Cays—a mysterious cove nestled in the middle of the uninhabited sea—the depth reaches several tens of meters. The waves will drift you toward the deep part of the cove, so you must know how to swim and wear a bodyboard before entering the water.

Among our group of six people: three who could swim went straight in, but two of them couldn’t swim back due to exhaustion; the other three, even with life jackets on, couldn’t stay afloat—and one of them was carried deeper into the cove by the waves. I also had to keep an eye on the boat to prevent it from being smashed against the rocks by the waves, as the rocks are sharp. Everyone ended up with minor injuries, so it’s highly recommended to wear a scratch-resistant wetsuit.

There’s another cave inside this one, and its scenery is absolutely stunning—many movies have been filmed here. But safety must be your top priority!
