We stayed at Atlantis, and four nights cost roughly CAD 2,300, which does not include meals. However, the hotel offers a complimentary USD 250 resort credit. This credit can be used for all in-hotel purchases, but it cannot be applied towards taxes or tips. You will need to pay the 10% tax and the mandatory 15% tip out of your own pocket—even if you just buy a bottle of cola to go, you still have to pay the 15% tip.
The sea here is truly amazing—it’s so clear and translucent that it looks just like jelly. The hotel environment is fantastic too; it’s incredibly spacious, taking up about one-third of Paradise Island.
A trip to Pig Island costs around USD 470, but I didn’t go. For one thing, I’m just not interested in pigs at all—some are even said to bite, and they’re artificially raised (they’re only let out when there are guests). For another, the boat ride to Pig Island takes three hours, which is way too far.
